Van den Bos-cm, since 1999

Van den Bos corrugated machinery, formerly known as Van den Bos Sales & Technical Services (STS), was founded in 1999 by Jan van den Bos. Jan's experience gained from the early 1970s as a manager in the corrugated industry is the basis of the company's contemporary activities.

The team.

Our team consists of skilled professionals, each with their own expertise. Our employees are constantly thinking along with solutions, providing tailor-made advice and striving for optimum customer satisfaction, every day. Because although this field is often about technology, we firmly believe that people make the difference.

Short lines and a
fine cooperation.

With successor Paul van den Bos, the family business is in trusted hands. Together, he and his father/founder Jan van den Bos are the face of Van den Bos-cm. Paul has been closely involved in all facets since 2007 and closely follows the latest developments. Paul is seen as 'the breath of fresh air' within the company. He is energetic, incisive and extremely motivated to go to extremes for his customers every day.

"Despite the significant growth Van den Bos CM has experienced, it has remained its personal character. Our lines are short, with personal contact, fine cooperation and very good service; 24 hours a day. We only achieve this with our top-notch team."

- Paul van den Bos

Van den Bos-cm is located in Almelo, close to the German border. From there, we serve customers from all over Europe, with neighbouring Germany as our main customer. Our corporate culture is characterised by a typically Dutch, no-nonsense mentality. This translates into a transparent and authentic character.

Our main goal is to maximise customer facilitation anytime, anywhere, regardless of the complexity of the issue. This requires a lot of customisation and service orientation.

PARADAIM off!

Recently, the ERDF grant application for the PARADAIM innovation project was approved. This means that, together with other partners, we are embarking on an innovative cooperation project around virtual commissioning with AI support. The project has since started in full swing, looking forward to promising results in the coming years.

In the PARADAIM innovation project, Van Den Bos Corrugated Machinery works together with manufacturing companies such as AWL, MechDes, Hollander Techniek, Verbruggen and HGG. In addition, knowledge institutes Windeheim and University of Twente are also participating. The project is carried out under the penmanship of Perron038. The end goal of the project is a virtual product-development process based on an AI-supported Digital Model for new machines, sensors and control systems.

The partners in PARADAIM deploy data acquisition and AI analytics for the process of designing, developing and virtual commissioning a Digital Model of new production machines and setups. Based on an optimised Digital Model, the "Physical twin" of the new machine or set-up is then realised. Besides quality optimisation and thus higher market value of the end product, the industrial partners expect to save a huge amount of development and commissioning time - and associated costs - in this way.

Knowledge institutions Windesheim and the University of Twente provide input of state-of-the-art knowledge and its processing in technology demonstrators. Perron038 in Zwolle will ensure that all knowledge from PARADAIM is widely shared among the manufacturing industry. To this end, various workshops and knowledge events will be organised in the period until mid-2027.

PARADAIM is co-funded by the European Union.
